Students present what they did in Casa Branca

In the summer semester of 2024, BASEhabitat students in Casa Branca (Portugal) worked on the renovation of a building for the cooperative ‘Estação Cooperativa’. The previously unused building was transformed into a functional wood workshop that serves as both a work and meeting space for the local community. The workshop machines came from an abandoned carpentry workshop and were donated to the cooperative, and together with local partners and the BASEhabitat team, a load-bearing wooden structure was created that adapted the existing building to the new requirements using sustainable and cost-effective means

From December 4 to 12, 2024, the students will present their work in an exhibition.
